PATH resumes Hoboken-World Trade Center service

NEWARK, N.J.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey says train service between Hoboken and the World Trade Center has resumed after Superstorm Sandy flooded the tunnels.

Trains between those two stops have been suspended since the end of October.

The resumption of the Hoboken to World Trade Center service means weekday service on PATH has returned to its pre-Sandy schedule. On the weekends, the Exchange Place and World Trade Center stations will remain closed during February to allow crews to continue making repairs.

Overnight weekend service between Newark and World Trade Center is expected to resume in March.
