Nanny caught on camera slapping baby

STATEN ISLAND

The woman in the video is Mamura Nasirova.

Staten Island investigators say she is endangering the welfare of a child, a 5-month-old girl, who at the time was under the care of the 52-year old nanny.

It is behavior that shocked Margaret Meekins who lives across the street from the family's home.

She says she has witnessed some questionable behavior before.

"I seen her one time, she just dragged them along. I said, 'Don't drag them like that.' She said, 'They don't listen, you have to let them know who the boss is.'" Meekins said.

Nasirova remains locked up on $1,000 bail. Police arrested her after the baby's parents showed the nanny-cam video to investigators.

Roman Mardakhaev and his wife, who live on Woodlawn Avenue in /*Grasmere*/, were not home when Eyewitness News came by.

They have one camera outside the home.

Inside, they have the nanny-cam hidden in a carbon-monoxide detector.

Authorities told Eyewitness News on January 28th, the mother watched the video live on a remote feed and rushed home and confronted the nanny.

Stunned neighbors couldn't believe what the camera captured.

"You have to have the evidence, and there it is. There it is," a neighbor said.

"The kids are too young to tell her, we are being slapped around. They're too young," Meekins said.
