Firefighters on Long Island battled against flames and snow in Centereach Monday morning.

Before they could even think about dealing with the flames, they first had to dig through more than two feet of snow to find the fire hydrants.

After about 15 minutes of digging, they were able to hook up the hoses.

The family who lives in the home was able to get out, and no injuries were reported.
