Authorities say the two men pictured were part of a group of six who began taking pictures of a gay couple on Monday on a downtown No. 2 train.
When they were asked to stop, the suspects allegedly began yelling anti-gay slurs at the victims.
It escalated from there, and one of the victims needed stitches for a cut over his left eye.
The victims spoke on camera only on Eyewitness News.
"They started beating him up," Luis Cruz said, of his partner. "They started beating him up like crazy, hitting the floor, kicking his face."
Cruz insists the attack was totally unprovoked.
The other suspects, two men and two women, are described as dark skinned and in their early 20s.
