4-alarm fire in Harrison leaves 30 people homeless

HARRISON, N.J.

The fire started on Warren Street in Harrison around 7:15 p.m. and quickly went to four alarms.

Two homes suffered extensive damage to the roof.

Firefighters from Harrison, Kearny, East Newark and Jersey City all aided in getting the fire under control.

Four other homes suffered minor damage, and evacuations there were precautionary.

There were no injuries reported.

There is no immediate word on what started the fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
