Police say 33-year-old Corrado Cicciarella lost control of his SUV and it flipped over on a highway.
New York state troopers told The Journal News (http://lohud.us/14Et9VK ) that Cicciarella was heading north just after 2 a.m. when his Toyota 4Runner ran off the road and rolled multiple times.
He was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.
Cicciarella was declared dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Northbound lanes were closed for over an hour while authorities cleared the scene.
No one else was in the car.
