Police have arrested a man in connection with a brutal sexual assault in the Bronx in late March, and authorities have linked the suspect to at least three other attacks.

Miguel Lopez, 33, is in custody, after police identified him from surveillance video of the incident.

Lopez allegedly pushed the woman to the ground near Westchester Avenue in the Soundview section around 3:30 a.m. on March 24, punched her in the face and then sexually assaulted her.

Lopez, of the Bronx, has been charged with attempted rape, robbery and sexual assault.

Police say the first attack occurred on February 24. There were three in March and one in February.

In each case, police say the suspect approached his victims from behind, punched them and then sexually assault them before fleeing.

In one case, Lopez allegedly threatened his victim with a box cutter. In another incident, police say he displayed a knife.
