19th Annual PEDIATRIC CANCER Walkathon

On April 28, 2013, Pediatric Cancer Foundation (PCF) will hosts its 19th Annual Walkathon, the proceeds of which benefit groundbreaking research and care at five hospitals throughout the metropolitan NYC area. Over 500 walkers are expected to join ABC-7 Meteorologist Lee Goldberg as we strive to GIVE HOPE WALK.79th Street Boat Basin, Riverside Park, New York City Sunday April 28, 2013

"PCF has been a leader in the field of pediatric oncology. Our volunteer-driven efforts work to fund specific projects and doctors at our partner hospitals that are making a tremendous impact in the lives of young children and their families, who are battling this illness," says Cheryl Rosen, PCF President.

Founded in 1970, Pediatric Cancer Foundation supports doctors at leading hospitals in finding a cure for childhood cancer. The Foundation raises money for patient treatment, research and acquisition of state-of-the art equipment and parent-patient care. PCF's partner hospitals include:

  • NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan-Stanley Children's Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian
  • Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
  • The Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York The Stephen D. Hassenfeld Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at
  • NYU Langone Medical Center and
  • Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center

    More than 2,300 children will die each year from cancer. Each year PCF invites walkers to help raise awareness and much needed funds to fight childhood cancers, the causes of which are still unknown and at present cannot be prevented.
