The incident happened just after 5 p.m. on March 29 on Oyster Bay Road in Syosset.
Police say Brian Weiss, Jasheer Kareem and Sulaiman Wardak torched the car, causing more than $2,000 in damage.
They reportedly lit fire to the interior of the 2012 Hyundai Elantra, which was being driven by an 18-year-old male.
Fortunately, the person inside was not hurt.
