Sketch of suspect released in Queens hate-crime menacing

NEW YORK

The incident happened last Friday around 8 p.m., when the victim left a moquie on Kissena Boulevard and realized he was being followed by a man in a dark-colored SUV.

Police say the suspect followed the man for several blocks, then pulled his SUV next to the victim's vehicle at Union Turnpike and 199th Street. There, he began menacing and threatening to kill the victim while displaying a firearm.

During the incident, the suspect reportedly made anti-Muslim statements before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Police issued a sketch of the suspect on Tuesday.

He is described as a white male, age 55 to 60, with a light skin complexion, dark hair and a mustache. The suspect was last seen wearing a dark suit jacket with an emblem patch on the left pocket.

He was possibly driving a Toyota SUV with an unknown New York license plate.
