At least two families in Brooklyn are homeless after a fast-moving fire tore through their building Sunday.

More than 140 firefighters battled the flames on the home's second story.

It quickly spread to three alarms and into adjoining homes on Lexington Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section.

Officials believe the fire may have started in the rear carport, but the official cause remains under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
