Crime down in Cobble Hill after warnings from police

There is information about a NYPD crime prevention experiment that Eyewitness News first told you about a few weeks ago. It seems to be working.

Police in the Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn are armed with cameras and taking pictures of valuables left in parked cars.

They send the picture to the owner along with a warning that if they saw it, so could a thief.

Thefts have been down nearly 50% in the past month.
