The incident happened just before 4 a.m. Sunday outside of the Rumors nightclub in West Hempstead.
Police say 24-year-old Kashmire Dawson was arguing with another woman about whether or not to tip a bathroom attendant at the club.
That's when, they say, she hit the 26-year-old victim in the arm with the tri-pod, allegedly swinging it like a baseball bat.
She is charged with assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.
The 26-year-old victim was treated for a cut on her right hand at a hospital.
