Teen questioned in Queens bus shooting released

JAMAICA

The 16-year old was taken into custody Thursday, after detectives say a witness identified him as the person who gunned down D'Aja Robinson in Jamaica, Queens May 18th.

Police say the shooting was part of a gang dispute and Robinson was not the intended target.

Funeral services for Robinson were held Friday at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York in Jamaica.

Mourners lined up around the block to pay their respects.

Robinson was struck by a bullet that smashed through the glass of the Q6 bus she was riding in Queens.

She had just left a Sweet 16 party with friends.

A $2,000 reward was being offered by 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement with any information leading to an arrest in this case.
