Livery driver fatally stabbed in eye in Brooklyn

NEW YORK

The NYPD is offering a $12,000 reward, and the New York State Livery Federation is offering $5,000.

Police say they are looking for two people in the attack, which happened around 5:30 p.m. at Lott Avenue and Thomas Boyland Street in Brownsville.

Authorities now say the driver, whose identity has not been released, was stabbed in the eye with an umbrella during a verbal dispute.

After he was attacked, he crashed into two parked cars.

The cab driver was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead

Eyewitnesses told police they saw a man and woman running from the scene.
