A father's bliss

Bill Ritter's daily take on the news.

I'm still flying high from a 4-day kind of father's bliss:

My son's high school graduation, a wonderful and long celebratory dinner with a (we all get along) extended family, a successful driver's road test the next day for my suddenly all-grown-up boy, another big party for a group of the grads, and then Father's Day yesterday, including the bestest-made-frog-pottery-cereal bowl ever from my 3-year old daughter.

Wow - what a 4 days!

And thank you for all your warm messages about the graduation and the day to honor dad. I think social media makes it possible for us to so immediately and intimately relate to each other, and holidays provide a marvelous time to do just that. So thank you, thank you, thank you.

We're on the lookout for the stories that affect your life and make news tonight at 11, including any breaking news of the night, Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather forecast (including the latest on the thunderstorms that roared through this afternoon) and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.
