Enterprise exhibit reopening on Intrepid in New York City

NEW YORK

A ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday on the flight deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum unveiled the temporary pavilion housing NASA's retired shuttle.

The large bubble-like pavilion had deflated after high waters from the October storm flooded the floating museum's main power supply and backup generators.

While the newly built structure is made of steel and designed to withstand harsher conditions, the long term plan for housing the shuttle - which was damaged during the storm - remains unclear.
