Woman hit by car, kidnapped and beaten in Queens

NEW YORK

Authorities say the 52-year-old woman was riding her bike on 30th Avenue in Jackson Heights just before 11:30 a.m. Saturday when she was hit by a light green Honda Odyssey.

The occupants of the van, described as four or five Hispanic men, allegedly grabbed the woman off the street, tied her up and blindfolded her, then beat her inside their van.

The suspects repeatedly asked her, "Where is the money?"

The men then threw her back out of the van a mile and a half away about 15 minutes later.

The police are now trying to determine if the woman was the victim of a random attack or if she was targeted. Her home was burglarized two years ago. It's not known if that incident is connected.

Anyone with information in regards to this kidnapping is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
