Bronx shooting suspect caught on surveillance

Police are searching for a shooting suspect in the Bronx, and they're hoping a surveillance image will lead to an arrest.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, on Valentine Avenue in Bedford Park.

Police say the suspect approached the male victim and discharged a firearm, striking the victim once in the left hand and once in the right thigh before fleeing the scene.

The victim was treated and released from Jacobi Hospital.

The suspect was last seen wearing a red hat, white shirt and blue shorts.
