Bronx robber breaks woman's jaw for cell phone

Police in the Bronx are searching for a man who brutally attacked a subway rider.

Authorities say the suspect, captured on surveillance video, tried to steal a 21-year-old woman's cell phone at the Fordham Road subway station just before 5:30 p.m. on August 8.

When she resisted, he punched her in the face and broke her jaw.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, standing about 5-foot-9 and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt, blue jeans and silver sneakers.
