Increased outbound service from Penn Station and the Port Authority Bus Terminal began at 1 p.m. Friday.

The Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North and Staten Island Railway, are also adding trains to help holiday travelers stay off the roads.

All MTA services will operate on reduced schedules on Labor Day Monday.
