10-year-old guitar prodigy performs with pros

DIX HILLS, N.Y.

Brandon Niederauer is only 10 years old.

He makes music though far beyond his years.

"I hear people talk to my dad and they're like, 'The guitar is bigger than him. How does he play it?'" said Brandon Niederauer, a Dix Hills resident.

Well he just does.

He writes his own stuff and oh yeah he sings too

"When I see him creating on stage it makes me very happy, it brings me to tears," said Gary Niederauer, Brandon's father.

The Dix Hills 5th grader is becoming known around the country by some of guitars greatest.

He's made a guest appearance at the House of Blues in New Orleans

He's joined the stage with members of the Allman Brothers and the Black Crows.

"It was an awesome experience," Brandon Niederauer said.

"He gets on stage he's playing with these men and he transforms into a different person. It fascinates me," said Alexandra Niederauer, Brandon's mother.

If you want to see Brandon perform, his music school on Long Island, Rock N' Roll University, will be performing before the Mets game on Sept. 10th at Citifield.
