Beginning Monday, the museum is opening its garden to the public every morning.
It's free, and coffee and other beverages are sold.
The garden is open from 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m., and after that you'll need a ticket to the museum.
But the morning access will give tourists and neighbors a chance to take in the art and even read a newspaper before the garden gets crowded
The public can enter the Sculpture Garden directly through the west gate on West 54 Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues.
The early morning hours in the Sculpture Garden will be in effect year-round, weather permitting. The museum galleries open to the public daily at 10:30 a.m.
