Arrests in murder of Newark pizza delivery driver

Authorities have arrested four people in the killing of a pizza delivery driver in Newark.

20-year old Jesus Torres, a driver for Pizza Hut, was shot Sept. 1 during an apparent robbery on South 11th street.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office says three juveniles and one adult, 20-year old Shaquille Faines, have been arrested in the case.

Authorities say the suspects surrounded Torres's car as he was driving and attempted to rob him. He was shot and killed.

All have been charged with Felony Murder, Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose,

Faines is being held in the Essex County Correctional Facility, on $1 million bail.

The three juveniles have been remanded to the Essex County Youth House. A decision has not yet been made on whether to try them as adults.
