One of the men accused of attacking a gay couple in Manhattan is due in court Monday.

Alfonso Lanier is charged with assault as a hate crime in the attack on West 25th Street in Chelsea.

Investigators say Lanier was part of a group that beat Michael Felenchak and his boyfriend Peter Nortman last month as they walked home from a movie.

Prosecutors said Lanier admitted to being at the scene and participating in the attack.

Police are still looking for at least five more suspects.
