Former New york City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is expected to announce his endorsement of Mangano on Thursday.
Polls show mangano with a large lead over Democrat Thomas Suozzi, who is fighting to regain his former post.
Suozzi received the nod from former President Bill Clinton at a fundraiser in Great Neck Wednesday night.
Mangano unseated Suozzi four years ago.
