Manholes on fire in SoHo, placed under control

There were several manholes on fire in SoHo.

The 2-alarm fires started just after 3 p.m. on Broadway between Spring and Broome Streets.

The fires were placed under control just before 4 p.m.

520 and 524 Broadway were evacuated as a precaution due to high carbon monoxide levels.

Around 100 people have been evacuated in all.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
