DANBURY

The lawyer who represents Ruth Ahearn, a resident of the Wooster Manor senior housing complex, filed the lawsuit in Superior Court in Danbury on Wednesday.

The News-Times reports that Housing Authority Executive Director Carolyn Sistrunk said she had just received the lawsuit and would not comment.

Ahearn suffered a fractured hip, concussion and numerous cuts and bruises.

Police say 26-year-old Donny Jackson forced his way into her apartment and assaulted her during a robbery. He faces numerous charges, including robbery, burglary and assault.

He has pleaded not guilty and is being held in lieu of $1 million bond. A court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 25.
