The double entendre may not have been evident at first blush to the clever headline writer who came up with the line, referring to the GOP's political identity conundrum going forward. But, really, how could they not have known, at least on second thought?
Lots of buzz and chatter on social media about teaming the word elephant with Christie, but, really, do we think this actually hurts the Governor? I can't imagine. In fact, the opposite – it probably helps him. The article is actually quite Christie-friendly. But we'll have any new reaction, at 11.
Also at 11, is it the biggest storm to ever hit Earth? That's the billing and fear tonight about Typhoon Haiyan that's about to make land fall in the Philippines tonight. Wind speeds of nearly 195 miles per hour, with gusts to 235. We're monitoring the storm, and checking in with local folks with ties to the Philippines.
Here's the NASA link to a picture of the storm: http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/NaturalHazards/view.php?id=82341&src=nha
We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather forecast, and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.
