Gas prices still falling in New Jersey

TRENTON, N.J.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in New Jersey on Friday was $3.12, down 4 cents from last week. That's also much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.65.

The national average price fell to $3.21 Friday, down 7 cents from last week.

Friday's average price for regular unleaded hit the lowest price of 2103. Analysts expect gas prices to continue falling, saying they could reach below $3 a gallon as the holidays approach.

Analysts say the falling prices are mostly due to less expensive seasonal gasoline and crude oil prices falling below $100 per barrel.
