Avonte Oquendo search enter 7th week

NEW YORK

Still, his family is standing by its vow to find him.

Crews will be out again Friday to continue looking for him.

Since the search began, police say they've received hundreds of tips from the public and reviewed hundreds of videos for any clues.

This past weekend, a volunteer pilot flew along the East River towing a banner with the number to report tips about Avonte.

In response to his disappearance, New York City school officials plan enhanced security training for staff members.

"It's tough, it's just a tough situation right now," dad Daniel Oquendo said. "But we're hoping for the best."

The reward for information leading to his safe return is up to $95,000.
