Police hunt suspect in Queens rape attempt

Police have released a picture of the suspect being sought for the attempted rape of a college student in Queens.

Investigators say he followed the 23-year old woman from a bus stop as she was going home from a Halloween party at about 5 a.m. on Nov. 1st.

He grabbed her by the throat, punched her, shoved her onto the ground and tried to rape her.

According to police, the suspect fled when a witness heard the victim's screams for help and yelled to the suspect that he called 911.

The suspect is described as a white male with light complexion, approximately 20-30 years old, 5'5" to 5'8", 150-170 pounds with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans.
