New trouble for George Zimmerman

November 19, 2013 Not yet divorced, the former Neighborhood Watch volunteer who apparently carried a gun on his watch was arrested, again, after a "disturbance call" at a home in Florida.

The call, according to at least one report, involves his girlfriend who may be pregnant.

Did this girl's parents not say, hey, sweetie, maybe you should rethink this new boyfriend? I'm just sayin'.

Anyway, the walking train wreck is in the news again, and we'll have the latest, tonight at 11.

And speaking of troubled families, how to wrap your head around the Thanksgiving dinner discussion that's in store for the family of former Vice President Dick Cheney? One of his daughters (Mary) - married to a woman. Another daughter (Liz) campaigning for U.S. Senate and steadfastedly against same-sex marriage. Maybe we should offer Liz Cheney a copy of Robin Morgan's "Sisterhood is Powerful?"

Liz Cheney was quite public about her anti-same-sex marriage position this weekend, which prompted her sister-in-law (although she probably doesn't recognize that title) Heather Poe to write on her Facebook page: "Liz has been a guest in our home, has spent time and shared holidays with our children, and when Mary and I got married in 2012 - she didn't hesitate to tell us how happy she was for us. To have her now say she doesn't support our right to marry is offense to say the least."

As I say, should be a Thanksgiving to remember at the Cheney house this year. By coincidence, the Human Rights Campaign today issued its report saying that 2013 was the most successful year for gay rights in history.

Also at 11, we'll have the latest on that off-duty New York cop - moonlighting as an overnight security guard - who is in a coma tonight after he was beaten up at the restaurant where he works. The man charged with attempted murder is being held without bail.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather, and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.
