JoJo John pleads not guilty in fatal Hudson River boat crash

NEW YORK

JoJo John crashed the speedboat near the Tappan Zee Bridge, killing a bride-to-be and the best man.

They were thrown from the boat and drowned on July 26 after the boat hit the stationary barge involved in the construction of a new bridge.

The 35-year-old John and his surviving passengers say the barge was not lit and was impossible to see.

John is charged in an 18-count indictment with multiple counts of manslaughter.

The district attorney says John had nearly double the legal amount of alcohol and traces of cocaine in his system.

Bail set at $25,000, cash only.
