2014 TCS New York City Marathon: Runner and Volunteer applications available

NEW YORK The runner and volunteer applications for the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon will launch on Monday, December 2 on the new TCS New York City Marathon website, TCS NYC Marathon. The application window will remain open through March 18 for the more than 100,000 runners expected to apply. The window for volunteers will extend to July 31. The 2014 TCS New York City Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 2, title sponsored for the first time by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

The new TCS New York City Marathon website includes information that will help runners plan their Race Day, including tailored training programs through the official TCS New York City Marathon online program, and how to register as an Athlete With Disability (AWD) and accompanying information for their guides. It also features details on how to participate as part of a charity team, including NYRR's Team for Kids.

In addition to the launch of the new website, NYRR is releasing new social media tools for runners, volunteers and fans looking to share their excitement and stories for the 2014 TCS New York City Marathon. Runners and fans are encouraged to tag Instagram and Twitter posts with #tcsnycmarathon, and visit the Twitter and Instagram handles, @nycmarathon, and Facebook page - TCS New York City Marathon - which has been updated with information on the 2014 race.
