Around 60 friends and family members attended the vigil for Randy Greene.
Police say Greene was shot in a 3rd floor stairwell at the Oakwood Plaza Housing Complex on Parker Road.
Randy Greene is an older cousin of Chicago Bears linebacker Khaseem Greene, who grew up in Elizabeth and used to play football at Elizabeth High School and Rutgers University.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
