See ya on Christmas Morning

December 23, 2013

It was after the Sept. 11 terror attacks, and we wanted to hear directly from viewers about how the holidays, just 3 months after the horror at Ground Zero, was affecting everyone, and what they were thinking.

We received an outpouring of emotion, and smart, insightful thoughts. We've continued the tradition every since. And this Wednesday morning, Dec. 25, will be no different. Your Christmas morning emails. We want them. And we hope you send them – directly to me, either via email - BILL.S.RITTER@ABC.COM – or via Twitter – @billritter7 .

Say whatever you want – I mean we do have right of last edit, yes? – and let us know your thoughts and feelings as this year comes to a close. Happy, sad, emotional, light-hearted, whatever. We'll read some of your emails on air, starting at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, until 7 a.m.

Meanwhile, tonight at 11 we'll have any breaking news of the night, plus Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's holiday AccuWeather forecast (might we see a bit of snow?) and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.

And you can also follow me at Twitter - @billritter7 – and on Facebook.

I'll be off Tuesday – and I'll see you early Wednesday morning, and for all of our newscasts on Christmas Day, right up through the 11 p.m. show.
