The new year's storm meant a lost weekend for hundreds of air travelers in Connecticut.

Many passengers have been stuck at Bradley International Airport for days waiting to get out of town.

One woman trying to escape the cold and enjoy the 80-degree weather of Hawaii has been in limbo since Saturday.

Some fliers were able to get out Monday, while others won't be going anywhere until Tuesday.

More than two dozen flights were canceled at the airport because of the snow and subzero temperatures hampering travel in the Midwest.

Most of the canceled flights were heading to Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Washington, D.C.

Artic air is moving into a big chunk of the Midwest following a storm that dumped more than a foot of snow and brought high winds. Wind chills are expected to be as low as the minus 50s and 60s in the Midwest.

More than 1,000 flights were canceled Sunday at airports throughout the Midwest.

Temperatures in the single digits and below zero wind chills are freezing the area Tuesday.
