Police are searching for a sexual predator who attacked a woman on the subway, and they're hoping a sketch will help lead to an arrest.

Authorities say the suspect tried to rape a 21-year-old woman on a No. 3 train around 4 p.m. on January 9.

The incident began when the victim saw the man touching himself inappropriately on the train. She walked to the next car, and the suspect allegedly followed her before forcing her onto a seat and attempting to rape her.

The man ran off when the train pulled into the 148th Street station in Harlem.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 35 years old, approximately 6-feet tall. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, black hat and brown coat.
