Brooklyn fire leaves 4 injured

BROOKLYN

The fire was reported shortly after 1:00 p.m. at an apartment building in the 11-hundred block of Stanley Avenue.

The flames on the fourth floor of the 8 story building were knocked down about an hour later.

Authorities say three woman, including one in a wheelchair, went to the hospital in critical condition.

A teenage boy with asthma was listed in serious condition.

Neighbors say the apartment where the fire happened also contained 8 dogs, including 4 puppies. There was no immediate word on whether they got out.
