Connecticut home invasion response under investigation

An investigation is underway in Connecticut after it took police more than an hour to respond to two children trapped in their house during a home invasion.

Police say the brother and sister hid inside their bathtub when three men broke into their home in Windham.

They weren't hurt.

Windham Mayor Ernie Eldridge said a 911 dispatcher may have caused the delay.

"They are doing their due diligence trying to find out what happened," he said.

Authorities say that because of where the house is, it is up to state troopers to respond even though they live only minutes from a local police station.
