MTA expanding Bus Time program to Brooklyn, Queens

NEW YORK

The MTA will roll out its Bus Time program to routes in Brooklyn and Queens starting on March 9.

Riders will be able to track buses equipped with GPS technology on their cellphones and computers.

The program started in Staten Island in 2012 before expanding to the Bronx and Manhattan.

"Removing the guesswork from the bus trip bus through real-time arrival information is exciting for me, and I look forward to seeing every bus in the City equipped with MTA Bus Time," MTA senior vice president Darryl Irick said. "The implementation of MTA Bus Time™ is another way we're improving the customers' experience."
