Becoming an entrepreneur has been a real reality check for Lori Cheek. We first met the New Yorker 4 years ago, when she launched her Cheek'd dating cards.

The cards have funny sayings on them, icebreakers like "I saw you checking me out!" You slip a card to someone you are interested in, and they can access a private web profile for more information on you.

"It's like privacy-protected business card, bur for dating," Cheek says.

Now Lori is looking to hook a shark on Shark Tank. A lot is riding on this appearance ? the panel has millions of dollars waiting to be invested.

"I think those sharks come with a lot of brains to spread the word of my business," adds Cheek.

While Cheek can't say how she fared on the show, she knows her Cheek'd cards work. She says she slipped a man a card, and went out for a drink with him ? they are now engaged.
