It happened at 79th and New England in southwest suburban Burbank.
Police say the driver of a white BMW was involved in an accident a few blocks away, and when the victim flagged officers down, they began to follow the woman.
Investigators say she hit another car as it seemed like she was trying to avoid police, and then drove into the home.
Three people -- including the child -- suffered minor injuries.
