Police are looking for three armed robbery suspects who tricked a Bronx woman by pretending to make a flower delivery.

Now, they are hoping surveillance images will lead to arrests.

The incident happened just after 11 a.m. in a building on East 169th Street on March 17. It's a new approach to an age-old crime.

A woman apparently delivering a bouquet of flowers made her way to a fifth-floor apartment in Highbridge.

When the unsuspecting elderly female victim opened the door, two men, captured on security cameras, pushed their way inside, beat the woman, and stole cash from her bedroom closet.

Julio Trinidad lives down the hall.

"She's not there because she is afraid," said Trinidad. ( 'So where is she staying?') "With her daughter now," he said. ('Somewhere else.') "Yes."

Investigators at the 44th precinct, which sits right next to the victim's apartment building, say the female suspect carried not only flowers and a stuffed animal, but also a silver handgun.

Neighbors are now extra cautious, as was evident when investigators came knocking on Millie Rios's door.

"I asked, who is it? He goes, 'the police', Rios said. "And I go, really? Can I see some ID? And he gave me, not the badge, because a lot of people could have a badge, I saw his ID."

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic female with a light complexion and black hair, last seen wearing a black jacket, a red hat and pink gloves. She was carrying flowers and possessed a silver firearm.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a light complexion, last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves and a black mask.

The third suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a light complexion, last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a black mask.

Anyone with information in regards is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
