Cops chased his black SUV through three towns.
They finally disabled it on the busy Atlantic City strip.
Eyewitnesses say a female passenger ran off.
The driver got out of the car carrying the gun and police opened fire.
27-year-old Antoquan Watson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Prosecutors are now on the scene investigating the shooting.
