Two teenage boys have been arrested on charges of trying to carjack a woman at a mall in Paramus, New Jersey.

Police say the 34-year old victim, from Ridgefield Park NJ, had just returned to her car located in the south parking lot of the Garden State Plaza, near Best Buy after shopping.

She was sitting in her car when two teens opened her unlocked car doors and tried to pull her out of the vehicle, according to police.

One of the suspects grabbed the car keys from her hand. After she struggled with them, the suspects then fled and ran east through the parking lot towards a residential neighborhood.

Police later apprehended the two in the backyards of nearby homes.

The woman declined medical attention.

The two suspects are being held on charges of carjacking and resisting arrest.
