Police are searching for a burglar who cut a hole in the roof of a Brooklyn deli, and they're hoping surveillance video will lead to an arrest.

The incident happened just after midnight on March 23 at the Malcolm X Boulevard Deli on Reid Street in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section.

Authorities say the suspect cut a hole in the ceiling, lowered himself inside and stole lottery tickets, cigarettes and more than $8,000 in cash from a register and ATM.

The video shows him inside a nearby deli in Queens, the New Garden Farm, where he cashed one of the stolen lottery tickets.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
