Police hunt suspect in Bronx attempted rape

NEW YORK

According to investigators, the suspect followed the 48-year old victim into her building in the Tremont section at about 6:45 Friday morning.

When she reached the second floor, he grabbed her and attempted to rape her.

The man fled when the victim screamed, police say.

She was taken to an area hospital for evaluation and released.

The suspect is described as a thirty to thirty-five year old Hispanic male, 5'8" to 5'10" tall wearing a white tee shirt, black jacket, blue jeans, light boots and a Philadelphia Phillies baseball hat.
