Officials say Flight 3486, which was a Bombardier CRJ700, took off a 6:38pm, but had a maintenance issue, and the pilot chose to turn around and return to LaGuardia.
The plane landed back at LaGuardia at 7:08 p.m.
There were 63 passengers on board, and 4 crew members.
The flight was cancelled, and all the passengers are being rebooked on other flights.
